The client came to us with a challenge: to minimize the recurrent quality and compliance issues in their multilingual product descriptions and other technical documentation that might eventually lead to product recalls or liability issues in foreign markets.

We translate 600 000 words of product descriptions and other technical documentation for Pfizer annually.

 

How did we solve it?

  • Built an expert team of an experienced project manager, a Lead Linguist, 10 subject-matter translators and 5 revisers.
  • Analyzed the client’s linguistic assets from previous translations (translation memory, terminology glossaries) and identified issues (incorrect translations, wrong/outdated terminology, etc.) that were eventually causing numerous, repetitive mistakes, inconsistencies in their multilingual documentation.
  • Corrected all errors, inaccuracies, updated and expanded the translation memory (up to 1 000 000 segments) and terminology glossaries (up to 1 800 terms) from our resources.

What was the result?

We helped Pfizer minimize the risk of product documentation quality issues and non-compliance that might eventually lead to product recalls or liability issues in foreign markets. We corrected, updated and expanded their linguistic assets (translation memory, terminology glossaries) that were causing numerous, repetitive mistakes in their multilingual documentation. Needless to say, the client was surprised and happy with the result.
