“Synergium” joined TAUS forum to express support to global content sharing initiatives as productivity of a translator still is a limiting factor, remaining at the same level which was achieved by applying the Translation Memory technology long time ago. Having tested MT engine on pilot projects we were more than persuaded by obvious productivity results in-domain. Although MT can be used successfully for low visibility content such as support tickets, internal communication or basic material for new and immature markets, being a language service provider we would expect even more – the out-of-the-box productivity gains for high quality localization with reasonable post-editing efforts in near future, and without investing a fortune. This will happen sooner if MT is supported by the global sharing initiatives, such as TDA, proving that we are moving from Information towards Collaboration Age.
